New Guy Alert..
Hey Gang,
I'm Chris, but I go by Cougar.. It's not what you think!! (or maybe it is??)
I run a summer camp for kids with special needs in Ohio. We ask them to come up with what we call a "nature name," when they come to camp. There's nothing really special about it except it gives the kids a chance to try on a new personality while they are at camp. Most of our kids are known for the Not good things in their life, and this is hopefully a chance for them to be celebrated for some of the good things!!
Anyway... Cougar here, and I am trying to pick up some good habits. Predominately a Trail runner, and have recently made the commitment to ride/commute to work. It's a pretty chill 8 miles on country roads (keeping in mind that for some unexplained reason we chip and seal every road in this state that is not a major highway). I also have the option of a cut through via a state park that sits between me and the ranch. This will allow me to choose between my cross bike or mtn. bike depending on my mood/weather/beast mode.
So I'm pretty stoked here but I'm gonna need some guidance for different seasons, things to be aware, etc...
Looking forward to learning from you savvy crazies coming up!!

Welcome. I might be going to your part of Ohio soon for father-in-law surgery. It’s cold I know so my riding will be limited
