purchase advice

I'm a competitive speed skater and need advice on buying a bicycle. I can't use my summer rink anymore and have to keep in shape with some serious biking in NYC. My budget is limited to $350. I'm 5'6" and determined my frame and wheel size with the chart at https colon//is.gd/dsLjwA. I came up with two Hybrid possibilities: a Huijian at https colon//is.gd/aPl4wP and a Schwinn at https colon//is.gd/GfkSl0. I gotta assume most anybody on this board can advise me of better choices, so please do. Thank you very much for any advice.

$350 will not get you much. Stick with Walmart / Dicks sporting goods bikes if that is your budget. For new you should look at around $500. Good luck trying to buy new now as most bike shops inventory are depleted.

The bikes you mentioned are ok Bikes . My friend just bought a shwinn at walmart in Michigan for 200.00 . The difference between your budget and $500 and up is Bike weight . At $350 it's likely steel which is heavier then aluminum. You should be able to find a decent bike at your price . Just go to the chain Stores and Buy one. Keep in mind at the Lower price points it's likely the vast majority are the same bike just under different names . You might also try Facebooks Market place . I found a Nice Trek for a friend last month for $300. It's a $600 bike . But I happened to see it when the Listing was 5 minutes old . If you want answers on a specific bike . Post links that work . Nobody can tell you anything with the way you posted those links . They don't work . GL
Also be patient Some of the answers on Forums are from Types who are just hear to be dickheads . Most are decent though

The shwinn looks like a nice but heavy bike . I still couldn't get the other link to work . But again if I were you I would get on facebook and look as well. The Bike on Ebay says Local pickup So ask the guy for his address . Then get him down a little . That appears to be a decent bike . Sorry I can get the other link to work . But which Bike ? I have also found that Bike Exchange Pricing is pretty overpriced . Just saying This looks like a Nice Bike . In a Medium Nicer then the Swhinn
