Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

in portland, you have at least twice the great local craft beer scene as we do here... so you can hold your nose high and meh at most any beer

If anyone ever sees a Mondo's Nitro Cream Ale, give it a try too. Had one at a bar the other day, first Cream Ale. Surprisingly good and easy to drink.

My everyday house beer is a German pilsner Wernesgrüner (that I get from Aldi's )

I think that Strongbow hard cider is the true nectar of the gods.
I didn't see this one mentioned, I love this dark beer https://abita.com/brews/turbodog.php

Old Milwaukee

And I just had some Blue Label for my daughter's birth yesterday. Wish I could afford to swill it all the time.

it's weird, i've only been drinking for about three years and i can appreciate pretty much every beer, from Bud to Orval, for what they are and their place in the market.

my "desert island" beers would have to be Guinness and Dogfish 60 though....

Tecate ran out, so I got a 30 pack of 'the champaign of beers.'

I'm underwhelmed, compared to Tecate, but hey, it was on sale this week..but then again, when isn't MHL on sale?

Can't get into Molson, FWIW.

I'm over 21, but because of this bloodclot/blood thinner thing no alcohol here.

Haha, I know that's what they call it, but 1. that doesn't even make sense, and 2. even if they say that, it means nothing. I don't consider Bud to be the "King" of beers, no matter what it says on the can. My local pizzeria may be "the best pizza in California" according to them, but that probably isn't true.

I think young green coconut water is the nectar of the gods. I see that Abita around here all the time, they make a raspberry beer I want to try.

One: It does make sense from a marketing standpoint. Rings true to their claim. Light and bubbly, unlike other beers. Yet, there is still a semblance of beer flavour.

Two: It's marketing. It does not have to make sense. Mash histogram = Wild Irish Rose red flavor in fancy packaging.

as far as adult beverages for me it is a nice single malt scotch on the rocks.....I prefer the peaty stuff from the Islay region. My go to scotch has to be a 16 year old Lagavulan.
Can you say yum!
