Wahoo Bolt:
So far I love it. More info than I could possibly use, but really nice and better than using the phone.

That Wahoo Bolt looks interesting. My Garmin Edge 500 is still doing everything I want it to, so I'm not in the market, but perhaps in another generation or two some compelling features will come out and get me thinking about an upgrade.

The example in the photo has it away from the edge and actually under the saddle.

this thread will not let me read past page 690..
however I got a new bearing in the pulley for my front shifter and a new chain. 4615 miles on a commuter chain not a bad run.

That's because there aren't any pages beyond 690 - they're sometimes referred to as 'ghost pages,' and they seem to pop up when there have been a number of deleted posts within a thread (so they're more common with loooong threads).

I ordered two items online recently: a 120mm Zipp Service Course SL stem (+/- 17°); and a Columbus FEL 3k carbon fork, 1 1/8” – 1 ½”.

Sprintech bar-end mirrors. I am using only the left side. Darn ugly thing but I am tired of twisting my neck to look over my shoulder for cars.

Have only got a 20 mi ride in the wind and cold in since the fit, all seemed real good, but I need some longer rides. It was a Specialized fit for a Roubaix. Dropped the stack - removed 1.5 cm off spacer - raised the post slightly. Adjusted shoes and cleat positions, new insoles and shim, adjusted seat position and angle. Took over 2.5 hours. I do think it was worth it, especially with this bike which takes some effort to adjust the seat post and stack. I could loose up to 15 mm more with the short cover. Will see if need fine tuning after a couple hundred miles.

26" JBI Wheelmaster 36-spoke wheel --- it was the simplest way to get a quick release axle on my Montague Swissbike X50 so I could install a Montague Rackstand.
Not finding any reviews, so hoping it was a decent choice --- probably going to go to a local shop and try having a custom wheel made, and getting an IRD Classica 6-Speed Freewheel 13/32 --- I just commute currently, but hoping to do some bikepacking/touring at some point in time.

I bought a Smartmount race number holder a few years ago and recently broke the bracket that holds the number plate onto the seat post when racking the bike for a triathlon.
I wanted to buy a new bracket but could not find one on their web site. Sent them and email and they shipped me a new part gratis!
Good people there and if I remember correctly all products are made here in the USofA.
So I didn't actually buy this one recently but I did buy it.

Meanwhile, back at the Foreclosure Ranch, I happened to come up with these items so far...
Fenders, rims and tires on the last one only.

Quick question for you (and any other owners): other than the initial set-up and some of the navigation features, how much does the Bolt rely on your phone? Once set up, can it operate as a typical GPS cycling computer without a phone 99% of the time?
I ask because I have an Android tablet that I can use for setup, but no Android/iOS phone.

1) If you always ride out of the house, then the Bolt can use a WiFi connection to upload a completed ride, if you need to do that. Setting it up for add'l WiFi connections requires the tablet, so that's about the only method for uploads if not using a BlueTooth connection to a phone/tablet. This is only important if you do remote start/stops, as the device will then save the ride internally until you choose to sync via WiFi.
2) It operates completely in stand-alone mode and does not use the phone for any navigation, ride tracking or for information about speed, distance, time, etc... it's a complete stand-alone computer.
3) If you navigate and use downloaded routes generated in RWGPS or Strava, you need to run the tablet app in BT mode to get routes/courses onto the device. I don't think you get get routes directly to the device via WiFi, nor can you use a cable/USB connection for routes as you can with a Garmin (and need to with a Garmin if using RWGPS routes).

It doesn't need a phone or tablet once initial setup is done. Some caveats:
