The logo on the hub is not familiar, but I see the spoke holes are chamfered on the spoke-elbow side of the hole. Either a sign of a quality build, or of a previous owner who took the time to do it.

Fortuitous find on the saddle, a nice refresh/update.

I'm not a fan of "showy" saddles with a lot of details and gewgaws on them; but on this particular bike I think it looks pretty fitting. Not often you can get that many matching colors all over the bike. I hope your buddy like sitting on all that stuff.

You're right, If it's a 1985' 531 steel frame it would be a PZ10, Super Record group and an "European dream for professional and amateur riders"

I think earlier in the thread someone said that the Aneto was the top frameset. Could be why it's all shimano with a couple of odd bits.

I will never argue that an Aneto with Shimano is a top frameset.
