The logo on the hub is not familiar, but I see the spoke holes are chamfered on the spoke-elbow side of the hole. Either a sign of a quality build, or of a previous owner who took the time to do it.

I'm not a fan of "showy" saddles with a lot of details and gewgaws on them; but on this particular bike I think it looks pretty fitting. Not often you can get that many matching colors all over the bike. I hope your buddy like sitting on all that stuff.

BTW, if nobody mentioned it yet, that was pretty much their top of the line steel bike from Peugeot and back then, before they stepped up to 753 tubing in the following years after. I think this might be from around 1985.. Not sure if the DA components are original though....

I think earlier in the thread someone said that the Aneto was the top frameset. Could be why it's all shimano with a couple of odd bits.

I will never argue that an Aneto with Shimano is a top frameset.
