Brussels VeloMuseum
Hey C&V crowd, I've been off the grid for almost a year now. What with moving to Paris and starting a new job early this year cycling fell right off of the priority list for pretty much the entire summer, and Paris has turned out to be less of a cycling haven than I had anticipated. It's probably more a lack of effort on my part than anything, but in any event I was on a work trip to Brussels and came across a very cool "pop-up" museum in the city's cultural archives building. If you find yourself in Brussels for any reason between now and next spring (they'll probably keep it through the 2019 TdF prologue though) I recommend it. Even if beer, frites and carbonnade aren't your thing, you're on this forum so cycling must be.
I'll keep it at that; the pics and a link to my album:

Great pics, Mark - I love that Flandria, especially the VDO-equipped dashboard

Hey DD, good to hear from you! Yeah, I think I spent about 20 minutes soaking in that build...that was a very interesting bike. More pics of it on Flickr.
I finally noticed the soft "tick tock" of the clock, which was running and set to the correct time. Details. The double curved "top tube" setup was gorgeous and the chainguard a work of small art.

I absolutely love those old bicycle advert posters, especially the art nouveau ones.

Bad example
Wow! I may be able to swing a visit to Brussels next spring, if the exhibit is still there.

Thanks for the heads-up. Love that picture of Josephine Baker with Romain Maes.
