Stem came today and I can't immediately use it because the height is shorter and I need more spacers. I was already short one and used a headset bearing race as a spacer, now at least I'll have a proper set. I may also flip it. I'm getting older and riding crouched may not be optimal for me anymore. It is also shorter by 5mm, my current stem is 105 and I went with 100.
All of these little things may add up to a more comfortable ride. I'd like to put a 28mm tire on too but I can only do that in the front, the rear will barely fit a 25 and then only if it is perfectly centered and even when it is it doesn't stay that way an entire ride or at least the stress moves it.

Perfect fit! Life just got easier! Only weighs 32lbs...not a comfortable handle after a while!
1989 hats! ‘bout two dollars apiece for three...great under my bike helmet! That is my last Airgas welding helmet hat...out of the loop on the welding equipment...

One at half off at competitive cyclist with the other two using the trade in program (alloy wheels) for $1700 out the door for each wheelset. The 3.4 clinchers will replace my Mavics on the TCR, 5.6 disk will go on my new Cervelo R5, and the 7.8’s will be used on my Madone SLR with speed tri-bar set up. This morning I’m riding my humble gravel bike with humble wheels on the filthy roads after heavy rain pour the last two days.

I have my rear wheel off because the bike is on the trainer and have it up next to the front wheel. The rear GP4000 is clearly wider than the GP5000 in front. This then begs the question, if a GP5000 in a 25 is the same size as a GP4000 in a 23, where is the advantage? Just because it is stated as being larger it won't make much difference on the ride over what I have if in actuality it is the same size.

I went from 23mm 4000's on a wheelset to 25mm rear and 23mm front gp5000 on a wider wheelset recently and the CRR change at low speeds was noticeable. Like, I could see fewer watts routinely when just farting around at like 15mph to 17mph.
Also, the geometry isn't 1:1 that a 4000 23mm is now a 5000 25mm. It's somewhere in between. So, since it's in between you "might" be able to fit something different there.
