Your score is awesome, well arranged, well played, and interesting listening, dkatz1. I enjoyed hearing this. I hope this work makes it to Knoxville, at the next Big Ears Festival. It blows minds. It is unique, different, and challenges thoughts.

I did meet Sheldon Brown, as he was in Newton, MA....I don't always work on my music when I'm riding my bike (in my head, of course) but I certainly have some times. And I hear those meter changes in my head and figure out which I like and think work (i.e. flow in a natural way)....but that doesn't seem to affect my pedaling...it's seperate.
So far, I've never walked up a hill.
I do, sometimes, slow to a crawl, like 5MPH...almost slow enough to tip over.
I think going up a hill that slow actually becomes harder...it's as if gravity has more affect (is that even possible?). If I push myself as hard as I can, and go a little faster, it actually seems less difficult...(maybe)

Thanks for the kind word. With 21 people to move around, I doubt that Knoxville would be willing to pay enough for us to go (and we work cheap). A group this size is NOT very practical...we're in Boston...we could play in new york, except we can't really afford to go there, let alone half way acorss the country.

I have loved music big time, my whole life, and devoted myself to it. I have almost 5000 CDS, and countless other recordings, LPs, you name it....when the ipod was first invented, i tried cycling with it a few times. And that was that: one of the things I love about riding my bike is that it is a wonderful, simple pleasure, part of that being that it leaves me ALONE with my thoughts. I found listening on bike a hassle, and it's dangerous, too.
Also gives me a chance to listen to the music playing inside my head.
