Help verifying year of Ironhorse 7point3
Hey all,
I'm currently selling my Hardrock to be able to make the jump to a fully; aside from the obvious benefits of riding a fully for DH I'm almost forced to do so due to some unfortunate knee injures.
Basically, I've found this (click here) great deal, but I've heard from a friend that this may not be a 2006 frame like the guy claims it to be, but actually a 2005. Could anyone shed some light on this please? I understand most of you do not speak Spanish so here are the important bits translated:
5th Element rear shock
2006 (claimed) Ironhorse 7.3
Manitou Stance (130-150mm)
Thanks,
-Gabor

Might be an '05. Check out these links:

Their website only goes back to '07. Maybe give them a call?

I see, thanks a bunch for the replies. Unfortunately this doesn't really get my confidence up... all I can say is I hope he wasn't actually lying about it, he was just uncertain.

Yeah that is a 2005. I would recommend maybe asking him for the serial number and then calling Ironhorse with it to varify. Best of luck with that!

Hi,
It's me again. I went to check out the bike on Sunday and the guy was really nice, he said he'd wait two weeks for me to try to sell my bike and he even declined me paying part of it in advance. He was very open about any possible defects of the bikes (few, overall great condition), the guy is the same height as me and not much heavier, the bike is in very good condition (mechanic maintained and used mostly for all mountain!) so this is looking very, very promising. I didn't bring up the topic of what year it was as I didn't want to come across as accusing, I figured it doesn't really matter anyway, he's giving me a good price on the bike.
Photos to come soon if this all goes down correctly. Just a double check: size M Ironhorse, good for a guy with inseam 32" and roughly 5'8 (a little less perhaps) in height?
Thanks a bunch for the help,
-Gabor
