Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

op prolly was totally loaded on the natty lite or pbr and was in a drunken stupor and / or was coming from or in the middle of doing something illegal.

either way, he comes in and does nothing but post a button pressing, pot stirring post about something that most likely didn't happen. trollish.

on a positive note, i completed my 2nd ever fixed gear ride around my neighboorhood on my new kilo tt. very interesting. i like what i see so far. i didn't use my brakes once, and didn't wipe out either ...

until i remembered this post and went maniac on some old lady who was walking her dog in my yard. dog poop in my yard. i pulled out my u lock and administered street justice on her wrinkly butt. she ain't coming round her no more.

You'll need one. I have one of those batons between the seats of my car, where it's been for over three years. But there's also a loaded S&W Airweight in the door pocket. Of course, I get to carry both legally. No lawyer required.

Exactly this. My neighborhood is full of reincarnated wild animals. They are now human, cant get laid and drive toyotas. I am semi human, easily angered and ride a bike. I have to watch what I say and do.

Toyota 3000 lbs
Jake + bike = under 200lbs.
winner = Toyota

To all those who actually believe the "side view whackers":

The tooth fairy has your "tooth money" in a group trust fund waiting for the right time to give it to you.

The Easter Bunny paints all those eggs himself

Santa is still checking if you're naughty or nice

The Village People were straight

Understood. I was being slightly facetious. I know damn well that whacking a car with a u-lock instead will get you all smiles down at the courthouse.

I have no idea what the laws are regarding carrying a baton, but my ex wife left it in the car, and it's come in handy on one occasion.

A quote of a quote? Do it. I'm just saying that we all probably do things on a daily basis that are "against the law". Who cares?

To get back on track (at least a little), this thread is either fake or the OP is an idiot. If someone even so much as brushed up against me and I was able to get their plate number, you can bet your ex-wife's collapsible baton that I'd be filing a report. Whether or not the police would actually do anything about it is another story, but I'd do my part.

That's cool. To do anything else is pretty foolish. To boast about doing anything else is BS.

Like I said, man...when I posted the pic of the baton, I was being tongue-in-cheek regarding everyone who always talks of retaliating with a u-lock.
