Hottest and Coldest Commutes?
The heat wave we've been experiencing in NYC finally broke a bit yesterday but not before I did a 98° commute on Tuesday. It was the first time I ever brought water with me on my 11 mile (one way) trip but I'm glad I did.
Lowest winter temp for me was 12° with a wind chill putting it close to 0°. I much prefer cooler temps to hot ones.

Our temps can range from -40 to +40 C and can sometimes sneal past those limits... my coldest commute was done at -46 C last winter.

I don't like the cold but I ride a couple cold rides just to say I did.
5F to 105F. My average cold in winter is 15F and I tend to call it quits when it gets colder.

-30degF for 3 miles...I was loaded down, though....pac-boots, down coat, heavy duty OR mtneering gloves. Needless to say I got a ride home that day. Was in da UP of Michigan.
Hottest is about 100degF with very little humidity here in CO. I can do the cold much better than the hot.
Regularly commute sub 0degF in the winter.

Hottest so far has been 92F with 60% humidity. By late July it will only be worse, but I've lived here so long that I'm used to it

I'm still working on a Fahrenheit Century. My hottest is 120 degrees, my coolest is in the low 20s. But I haven't quite cracked 100 degrees between hottest and lowest. Maybe next winter.

Hottest this year so far has been about 99F, I think last year I rode a few times when it was over 100F. Coldest is maybe 32F, I start to wuss out when it gets below 40F and it's dark outside. I can handle 30F if photons are hitting me.

Here in GA, it doesn't really get cold. Worst winter morning commutes have been in the 12 - 20F range, with most other "cold" mornings at or around 30F. Not bad at all. Best thing is, winter rides home are usually in the upper 40's to lower 50's.
Summers, though, can get kind of intense. I've seen 96, 97, 98F every day since the last week of May, with two 100F days so far. Hottest I've endured here has been 102 with a 110F heat index. (Zonatandem - I've ridden in Phoenix, AZ... so yeah, these temps are kinda springtime-ish.)
BTW, Samuel Adams brews an excellent rehydration libation... I apply it liberally once I wobble home.

This thread pops up annually I think.
My commutes just never get that cold. We're down at a low elevation, and my ride is right next to Lake Champlain, which moderates the temperatures. I've commuted at -12F / -24C, and actually got hot because I over-dressed.
Warmest, I don't remember exactly, but certainly up in the 90sF / 30sC.
Nothing beats a nice lager after a hot ride.

17F to 101F. I don't know which is worse. At least with the heat, you can ride more slowly. Below a certain point, it's just cold.

I'm over the river in Jersey and Tuesday was definately the worst. I was on the road around 10am and it was right at 100* and the humidity was insane. I just told myself If I can do it today I'm good for anything the rest of the summer.

I think my coldest was 18F (-7c), a lot of years ago. Last winter I cut it off at 20F (-6c), and the day after was the first snow of the season. That's the other thing (besides lightning) I won't commute in: snow. People around here tend to lose braincells in direct proportion to the number of flakes of snow that have fallen. No need to be in the way when they're cramped on the brake and cranked on the wheel, screaming, "WHY WON'T IT STOP?!"
My hottest has probably been 98F (37c)... that's getting to dangerous levels. All you can do is ride slowly to keep the blood pressure and core temp down.
All things considered, I'd much rather ride cold than hot- you can always put more clothes on (or ride harder) to stay warm, but they got laws against people like me taking too many clothes off. Some things this ol' world just ain't ready for.

My hottest was when I was living in Phoenix. I would do up to about 112F before wimping out and taking the bus or driving. My roommate never wimped out though. He would ride to work in 120+.
No idea what my coldest is. Not very cold though.
