YES!
YES!
.
Why yes, that is me in the avatar, however I am not actually animated, well not in cartoon form, anyway.
Bev, do you look like your avatar? If so, I'd guess you're riding with Ken and shouldn't be difficult to recognize.
That would be helpful. That way, we might not go traipsing over to the wrong bunkhouse.
The nice thing about the first half being predominantly climbing is that at any point, you can turn around an descend all the way back to camp.
.
As for recognizing each other, that is you in the avatar, isn't it?

I'm open to suggestions. I can tell you where I usually stay. There's a loop that most of the bunkhouses are on. If the dining hall is 6 o'clock, the bunkhouse I prefer is at noon.
I was planning to wear my 50+ jersey on Saturday, but I suppose I could wear it on Friday instead.

Bev's hair is short and curly. Aside from that, yes she does look like her avatar.
Speaking of avatars, that's not me in my mine - (as you probably already know, it's Allen Ginsberg). A pic of me, for recognition purposes, can be found in my profile.

TSL - clarify something for me please. Do I need to bring a MTB or fat tires for the Friday night ride? I had somehow assumed it was on fire trails. I'm still struggling with which road bike to bring, but the alum. frame is winning so far.
I'll bring my 50+ jersey, but I haven't lost much of the weight I gained this winter, so you may only be able to read it from the BACK! Really looking forward to this trip folks, and to meeting and riding with you all!
Oh, almost forgot - Yes, that's me in my avatar too!

[QUOTE=Louis;10896789]While I knew that the picture in your avatar was not you, that is the visage I associate with you. It never occurred to me to go to your profile to find an actual photo. Imagine my disappointment when after I did indeed visit your profile and found the image to be so small, I still don't know what you actually look like! So when we get there, unless you are crouched by your bike wearing the same outfit, please do not assume I am ignoring you, I just don't know what you look like!

Dang! You're right, Miss K. That pic seems to have shrunk...it used to be big enough to actually see my face. Perhaps that's a good thing.
Anyway, here ya go...

That is me in my avatar, except I am in colour in real life. And that is my name; I didn't realize we were supposed to come up with something cute when I registered.

I look nothing like my avatar
As Louis said, I have short curly hair and you should be able to recognize me from the people who will be traveling with me - Louis and two of my friends. Both friends have white hair and mustaches. I've rode with Louis before so I'll be able to recognize him

I don't get "Edit Profile Picture". I can change my avatar and put a pic in my signature, but no profile pic. Weird, but not to worry.

This looks like a great event folks. I am doing a charity ride in Vancouver those dates so couldn't attend. It would have been a great opportunity for a miss k/jdon CanAm Blueberry bakeoff too!

Friday is a road ride. At the crest you can ride another half-mile or so of fire road to the fire tower, but I've only known a couple of people who have done that. The rest of us usually stop at the top, pretend we're going to the fire tower, then let others talk us out of it. It's theater.
