Regina Oro freewheel confusion

I recently bought a NOS Regina Oro freewheel (not “Extra”). It is the two tab removal style but is dated 1984. I thought Regina had gone to splined removal by then. Can anyone help clear this up?

I would have thought the two-prong body was deprecated by then, but who knows? Maybe they kept making them for stubborn people or something. At least Zeus had the sense to design their bodies to use both the Regina-style two-prong remover or the superior splined remover.
