Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

At my appointment Friday I was amused by how slowly and deliberately the nurse washed her hands, as if she was performing in a drama.

In the infusion center it was basically business as usual, except someone did spray one of the chairs after the puppy was removed.

I am not an unhappy clinician.

I go to work and everyday anything could happen. Any wacky symptom. Any given day could be novel and unique.

I have complaints but mostly am glad to be doing it.

What's protocol?
1. Wash your hands.

2. Remove a mask from the box

But why are y’all wearing masks? What do you do? Because masks are a valuable resource now and should be used thoughtfully.

I've done this more than once. With serrano peppers as well. And once with Mrs. LAJ's flakes. The flake burn was the worst. My eye balls were melting.

I think they’ve had a lot of the hot bred out of them in the last few decades. They used to be a sort-of medium pepper and I believe were the source for pharmaceutical capsaicin at one time.

There's a lot of variance. I've had some that are really mild and others that had enough kick to make things interesting.

I'm pretty sure you never get any weather from here, unless there's a hurricane that gets lost.
