Trek ProSeries 560

I'm actually looking to purchase this bike and would like to know its value. What is a fair offer to make. It's in excellent condition. Thank you

Is the bike collectable by any chance? Is it a sought after model?

Not collectible IMHO. Middle of the pack Trek back in the day, when middle of the pack Trek was pretty darn good. Trek was one of the first US manufacturers to skip the bottom of the market entirely, instead starting at about mid-level and going up from there. Somewhat interesting to me is later, Trek started making more basic bikes along with children's bikes.

Without pictures, no idea on value. But if you like the bike, it fits, and is within your budget, just buy it. Its OK to pay a little extra for convenience and condition.

Last pristine 560 I bought was $350 and felt like that was top of market value.
560’s are nice bikes but you can do better for that $.

I had a feeling it was over priced, that's why I thought I'd reach out and post on the forum. I was hoping someone would steer me in the right direction. I know bikes and value are subjective, but within reason. I don't mind paying a "little" more for something that is well taken care of. But, it has to make sense.

Thank you

I'm just trying to justify the price at $650? But, I can't seem too find anything even close to that value on the market. Maybe the buyer will take less? Don't get me wrong, I'm not emotionally connect to this bike. I'm just trying to gather as much info as I can before I speak with the owner. I mean who wants to pay more than you have to (a little is fine, but a lot doesn't make much sense)?

Don't need to post a picture or speak to the seller either. At $650, its so ridiculous that you should just keep looking. Sellers have the right to ask whatever price they want and buyers have the right to move on. Myself, I don't waste time with delusional sellers.

Great point, I guess we can put this post to bed. No sense in continuing it any further. I appreciate all of you who have responded with your opinions. Thank you for your valuable time and insight!

Agreed that it is priced too high for the market. In the seller’s defense, he may have $650 or more in the build and has yet to learn the market is not going to repay him. Pretty much the scenario for every bike in my stable.
