FYI: I posted a 1978 Raleigh Professional 531 frame in need of repairs over at the Classic and Vintage sales forum. Could be an interesting project for a framebuilder.

Hope this is ok to cross-post here.

Mod-- I just upgraded.

3 nice new full frame jigs. $400. I will not ship, I am in the San Francisco Bay Area, local pickup only.

-Full aluminum construction, very light jigs.
-All frame surfaces milled to tight toleranced.
-Designed for 68mm BB shells.
-Fully rotatable
-Comes with software to set up and dial in jig for a frame-- can be set up in 5 minutes without needing the frame tubes.
-You can do all welding in the jig, or tack in the jig and weld out of the jig. However the preferred method is to tack in the jig and remove.

Our students have built many hundreds of frames on identical jigs. We just have too many of these jigs. I need to get rid of them ASAP, they are cluttering up the shop. If you are interested, please call me as I do not check my inbox. (650)919-4343. --Tim

He didn't have them when I took the class in April. At least they weren't in the shop.

Jigs!

I have 20 in stock. Not looking to make much profit on these, we stock them for our students but won't be doing tons of classes in 2014. Figured some folks in here could use a good jig. I think $700 is reasonable for these. Happy to ship, probably $50 or so shipping. Our shop is in Oakland if anyone is local. We have used these exact jigs to build thousands of frames... they are great.

About the jigs:
-Everything is CNC machined
-All parts anodized blue or clear
-All aluminum. Super light, super sturdy.
-Cones are stainless
-All surfaces faced-- very precise jig
-This jig is faster and easier to set up for a build than anything else on the market

-Also have 10 or so 3' x 1' alignment tables. Machined out of alum. plate. All brackets hardware etc. chrome plated. They are very nice, reach out if interested.

If interested in any of this stuff or just want talk about frame building just give me a buzz directly! (650)919-4343

-Tim

Scooper you still buzzin around? Come see our new Oakland shop! Hope you are well buddy.

Victor Aircraft Torch Handles For Sale

****** See post #22 below ****** (3/15/2014)

I'm moving soon and need to whittle down my 40 year collection. I have 4 Victor Torch handles for sale. I've used 2 of these, but don't remember which ones. That said, I will test each one prior to accepting $ to assure it functions correctly and safely. I don't have enough tips so none will be offered. However, mixers/tips (model T17 or W-J) can be purchased inexpensively on Ebay or here:

Victor Welding Tips W-J

Sorry I don't patronize PayPal. Check or Money orders only. Please PM for additional info.

For the benefit of those unsure of the broad capabilities of the 'J" series torch, I offer the following.... The 1/4" thick coupon pictured below, was single-sided brazed with generic 64kpsi LFB. I used a #4 tip and fed it with Oxy-Propane.

Using the same J-28 torch shown above w/000 tip, 56 Harris silver and a handful of 14g stainless spokes, I crafted the example shown below....

Thanks! I have it all set up with TM hoses and it makes a huge difference from my Victor 100 and standard hoses. This feels like I'm working with a switchblade rather than a broad sword!
