Genesis Vagabond built up with a mix of SLX and Deore, TRP Spyre brakes, XT/XM319 wheels. Rides pretty sweet on gravel/dirt, 50C Marathons give me nearly enough float(clyde here)

Surly Cross Check
Just picked up this used 2013 Surly Cross Check Friday at an excellent price. Spent about 3 hours cleaning, lubing, fixing and tuning (broken spokes, everything out of alignment, rear derailleur missing last three cogs, etc, haha) No way they were riding it as it was.
Went out on a midnight ride with nearly full moon and no lights, don't think I've ever had so much fun on a bike! OK probably, but what fun on ditch banks, gravel side roads, sidewalks, what-ever. It's a little small but I can throw it around like crazy.
I'm sold on the Cross Check as a fun do everything bike, surprisingly fast too.

Very nice Benny I was talking with some guys in the shop at Oconee Outfitters via FB the other day getting some info on the Specialized Verge and they mentioned that you had built a sweet AWOL. I must agree with them, that is nice! Still considering the verge, but the maximum tire width has me concerned somewhat. Thanks for sharing
Sweet looking ride

Another photo of my Space Horse from yesterday's (4/18/2015) 91.8-mile mixed pavement and gravel ride. I really love this bike - I have about 1,200 miles on it now. It is a lot of fun to do mixed gravel/pavement and sometimes singletrack rides where I leave from my house. I drop the tire pressure from 85 to about 60 when I hit a long stretch of gravel, and then use the frame pump to take it back up to 85 psi when I have another long stretch of pavement. Being able to hop from one road surface to another really opens the possibilities for riding.
I also recently bought the Minoura seat-mounted double water bottle carrier, which really opened up every more places I can ride. This is a rural area around here, and yesterday's ride had zero services until mile 62, so it was nice to carry enough water for that length of ride, rather than planning my rides around water stops like I used to.

Since I am the newbie to gravel grinding. How well does these bottles stay in the cages when you hit the rough stuff in gravel riding?

After a 150+ mile ride I have really good things to say about the Jamis Renegade and Schwalbe G-One tubeless tires. The frame is such a good balance of stability and control at speed and the tires are seemingly great at everything except soft mud. I don't have good things to say about the saddle (Selle Italia Novus Flow) after spending 12 hours in it however.

Lovely work on the Centurion, Jeremy. Is your ´plus one lap´ blog still active? Always a good read.

I didn't know this thread existed - cool.
I picked up my DB Haanjo last fall at an REI Members sale for $550, and I love it -
Since this pic, I've added a pair of Reynolds Assaults (I keep Schwalble S-Ones [smooth-ish 30s] on the Assaults and G-Ones [knobby 38s] on the HEDs), swapped out the saddle and seatpost (Toupe on a zero-offset) and I've also swapped out the levers/calipers for hydraulics (Competitive had them on sale for just over $200 when I bought them). I'll have to take a new pic one of these days.

Nice bike, @Unkle Rico.
I did my Saturday gravel grind with someone who also had a Crockett in Pink Frosting. Awesome color and awesome bike. She also had blue bar tape which looked really slick.

My Maxxis ramblers RT 40C are running tubeless on my WTB i19 rims. They are a really nice setup.
