I currently have a Sworks Romin team in white and I was looking to change to a black saddle. The new power saddle caught my eye and I was wondering if anyone here is using one and what they think of it?

If you like the romin, you probably will like it.

I bought one a couple months ago. It solved my numbness problems. I like to ride in the drops and rolled forward. The short nose makes that more comfortable.

I have just put one on the bike, only have about 30 miles on it. So far, less numbness, a good thing!

I have two of them. My favorite saddle I've used so far. If you like the Romin, you will probably like the Power. Prior to the Power, I used a Romin and it was my favorite saddle, but the Power is better for me. I think if you generally like saddle shaped (i.e. that have a dip) saddles like the Romin, Aliante, MTB saddles, etc, you'll love the Power.

Did you get the same width Power as Romin? I am considering making the same move for the trainer.

I tested 6-8 saddles and kept having numbness and discomfort. The Power solved all of that. It's a great saddle. I did have some chafing on my thighs with my regular size, so I sized down one notch and it fits perfectly. I have the one with the titanium rails. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I compared to Specialized Power to every Specialized, Fizik, Selle Italia that were around 155mm wide with a channel in the center (along with an SMP Avant). The Specialized Power was the clear winner after trying them all back-to-back (mostly because most saddles are 150mm or smaller so they just weren't wide enough for me). I'm using the Expert (Level 2 Padding), didn't try the Pro or S-Works (Level 1 Padding).

I've got one on my TT bike and it makes the bike bearable for long training rides. If I hadn't already bought Specialized Chicanes for my road bikes I'd probably go with the Power for them too.

So just wondering how you set the saddle up. I've always measured from the nose of the saddle to the center of the bars. But the power saddle shows to be 30mm shorter than the Ronim.

The shop set it up for me. They set at level from the nose of the saddle to the middle of the cutout. I dropped the nose a mm and it feels perfect. As a warning, the first few rides, it feels strange. I guess I've always gripped the saddle with my thighs a little. The shorter nose felt strange for a ride or two. Now I love it.

I measured from the back of the saddle to the bars, and had it fine tuned by my fit guy.

I thought the proper fit was sitting on it and then making sure your knee lines up with the end of the crank arm?

So I went ahead and order one today. It's the pro model, they didn't have the sworks in my size, and not really sure the extra $100 for carbon rails is worth it.

You weren't asking me, but I just went from a 155 Romin to a 143 Power. The 143 Power doesn't seem too narrow at all. I haven't tried the 155 Power but I think it would be too wide for me.

I have 3 Power saddles now. I had a Romin Evo prior, and the specialized dealer just said measure from the tip of the Romin to the handlebars, and then add 3cm for the Power saddle tip to handlebars. Seems to work for me. I love the things.

Appreciate the info. I ride a 143 Romin and that is as narrow as the Power goes. I will hit up the LBS near work this week to see if I can get one to try.

So, I bought the power saddle and couldn't really get comfortable on it. Tried a friends Sells SMP Dynamic and it wasn't the right fit for me. I'm back on the Ronin but still having issues. I'm thinking about trying the Power saddle again and thinking I just didn't set it up rihjht. I leveled it nose to tail like the Romin.
Just wondering if everyone it still happy with their Power and if they have had any issues on longer rides? I'm planning on a couple of century rides with a lot of climbing and hope this saddle will work. Specialized has a good return po!icy so I thought I'd try again.

Neither the Power nor the Romin is meant to be leveled nose-to-tail. The center portion of the saddle is supposed to be level. I still like my Power.
