Glad to be back

Well its good to be back in the saddle, after 20 someyears. I left the sport when I joined the Army, and after my injury in Iraq I got back into it to get back in shape. Sure missed it, a lot of stuff has changed so its taking me a little bit to get used to everything. Right now I am riding a Trek 4300 disc, looking to get better and a upgrade soon, if the wife lets me spend more $$$.

Howdy papaish,

Welcome to Bike Forums.
Your Trek is a learning bike.
You can get in shape and learn what you are looking for in a new bike.

Thanks for serving. And welcome to the forums! Nothing wrong with the 4300, but if you have the money to spend, come visit us in the mountain bike forum, tell us what kind of riding you're doing, and we can help you with upgrades!

Well I was looking at the Motobecane Fantom Pro DS Full Suspension with Shimano XTR, bike direct sells them for $1799.00. I was a team and shop mechanic before I joined the Army so building it will be no problem. Just need to wait for the Tax check.
