Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You know if you were smart, like a scientist or something, you would want 100 seconds in a minute and 100 minutes in an hour and...

Time zones are defined temporally by their offset from UTC.

Wow, Iceland is on GMT eh? I guess when you get that far north you've already given up on the sun rising and setting at convenient hours.

Also note China, no time zones. I've had a trip or two there that included working stops on both the far west and the far east...always had to make sure what time the locals started work, but otherwise it was simple.

I'm watching this all-day zoom thing for continuing education.

Per the instructions, on Wednesday night I emailed the person who handles credit to register. I haven't heard anything back from her. I certainly hope there's no issue getting credit for this.

Very inspired iconic tune, just begging to be used in a movie soundtrack.

In fact, I think I will listen to it right now, and then some more George Carlin, which made me laugh harder than anything I have heard in months. I sure miss that guy.

I read that it was big in the '70s. Probably some here, too. Not naming names.
