Handlebar tape color choice
Radical or ridiculous handlebar tape choice selection?
Just got a new Pinarello Dogma F10bike built up.

wouldn't be my choice for tape color but I think more bothersome is the yellow-accented saddle (yellow isn't the same yellow used in bike logos?), and why doesn't the seatpost color seem to be the same shade of red as the frame?

I don't use handlebar tapes, but grips (flat handlebars), and even I didn't want some light coloured ones. I mean, they very, very quickly become nasty to look at, and grips are much easier to swap out. Handle bar tape in ugly ("fun") light colours will be a bear to swap out every fortnight or scrub clean. I mean, my black ESI grips I "clean" by using some isopropyl alcohol (thinned 70/30 with water), to kill bacteria. But with a light coloured set, I'd be scrubbing endlessly.
And why would I choose something super ugly all so I can scrub constantly to make it seem as bright ugly as the tape on that red bike?

Messed up a Pinnarello... The bad decisions in 2020 never seem to end.
I do like the wheel set though. Always been a fan of Mavic.

Eclectic!
In many ways I like that it isn't all matchy matchy. All the other colors on the bike are too complimentary IMO. You need something to contrast. It also make you stand out. We'll know it's you when we see you coming.

Match paint to saddle. KISS.
Or if you want to go off book, then match it to the primary accent color.

Lots of choices you could go with. That's not one of them. If the bike is an I-talian, that color should only be on Bianchis.

Reminds me of the Cinelli Blue Burns Orange colorway. Not what I’d want. It’s your bike though; why are you asking us?

Go with white tape. There's already plenty of yellow on the bike, and the are some white accents, so white tape will help balance it. Or black tape is always acceptable. I think yellow will be too loud.
And yes, that Celeste tape is hideous. It might well be the worst color you could put on the bike.

I think they were trying - and failing - to match that thin blue stripe on the top tube.
But, yeah. Celeste for Bianchis. Only Bianchis. And not even all Bianchis.

I think that's actually an artifact of the lighting. To me, the seatpost color matches the seat stays, but not the top tube because the angle of the light is different.

I like the color of the tape but I'd go with a different frameset.

I rather ride longer with a not so cool correct saddle than less riding with a “correct saddle”😜
