This is super cool! Thanks for putting this up. I have a Cuevas that was built for my father in 1984 and he gave it to me about 5 years ago. It's beautiful and has stood up to tests of time. I use it on my trainer currently but have had it on the road several times and it rides so amazing. Haven't ridden anything like it since.

I sort of see it here in your first post to C&V: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...sic-forum.html

But the photo bucket copywrite overlay obscures much its "heavenly glory".
When you can get the time, we'd all love to see a photo again with maybe some close-ups of the money shots.
Oh yeah, bonus points if the photo includes the open garage.

I'll get her all put back together and get some shots.

Haha! You'll be sad to know that I no longer have what was once in the garage

I remember Cuevas had quite the buzz back then. I wonder what happened to his apprentice Frank Matthews.

IIRC after Francisco retired and returned home to Barcelona there was a period where his son kept the workshop going offering repair, braze-ons and painting but not builds from scratch.

perhaps other readers will recall this more fully...

@175 frames/year I'm surprised we don't see more of them, or maybe the original owners just never sell them.

he did have an affiliation with the Zeus Cyclery Corporation of NYC

iirc it was current in the early to mid 1980's time

the forum has had several discussion threads on Cuevas cycles
