Any riders do Santa Barbara from east of the 57 foothill communities?

Any riders do Santa Barbara from east of the 57 foothill communities?
Plans for riding out to Santa Barbara starting out east of the 57 / 210 with stops along the way+an overnight stay. I'd like to hear from all who have made the trek from any where in SoCal. Like to hear experiences/thoughts etc.

IMO it's better to take your bike on the train to Santa Barbara and then ride south: you're riding on the more scenic (and IMO safer) ocean side of the road, and you're more likely to have a tailwind.
I've made this trip three times. And once from Paso Robles. Sorry my link below no longer has the pictures, but it's a majestic ride. Makes me patriotic about California.

^^^so true. 57/210 ride to Pasadena isn’t very scenic. After that IDK but I know that route and there are some non bike friendly areas
