Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It will be interesting to see if wireless electronic shifting will generate more or fewer problems than wired.

The convenience of not running shifter cables or wires is attractive.

How about wireless brakes.?.

Bury that thought in the deepest hole you can find.

Let's not get carried away. That simply isn't realistic until we get full Garmin integration.

I'm sure it won't be long before we can just plug in some parameters and our Garmin will do all of our shifting for us to keep us in the optimal heart rate and power zones. At least until a piece of dust hits it and it stops working leaving us in the big/small combo with the brakes locked up 50 miles from home and out of cell range on an unused gravel road.

The response I got back from them included all of those items as well as a thunderstorm with hail and 60 mph winds.

Eventually they all do. That would be sub-optimal though.

Hmmmmm......

When I finished riding last night I looked at the summary. It showed 234' of climb and 246' of descent. Does that mean I'm 12' under?

...there are some profound philosophical questions raised by Garmin. I had no idea.

Garmin sounds like a nerdy kid who gets his lunch picked over by bullies. I am sad for Garmin.

Much to my surprise when I found out about a year ago, there are already anti-lock rim brakes (not that roadies would use them [heavy, stupid looking]) on the market.

It's 105, so it doesn't really matter. We all know that 105 is entry level and anything below that is junk.

tell me honestly you wouldn't miss them if they got banned. I know there are more threads because of them, and the pages keep tracking up as they get into their skirmishes...
