I'm sure it won't be long before we can just plug in some parameters and our Garmin will do all of our shifting for us to keep us in the optimal heart rate and power zones. At least until a piece of dust hits it and it stops working leaving us in the big/small combo with the brakes locked up 50 miles from home and out of cell range on an unused gravel road.

...will my heart rate drop to zero ? Old guys have some concerns in this area.
