Addiction LXXVIII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mrs datlas bought some alco-pop at Wegman's. I don't usually drink but I might make an exception tonight and have one.

This guy does an excellent job of enunciating exactly why, when Strava asked for money, I said "yeah actually I'm done". A much better job than I was able to, but it's bang-on to my feeling.

Again, I reiterate:

If it makes you (and bampilot06) feel any better, towards the end of my ride, yesterday, I was hearing some brake rub on the front when turning. At a stop, I gave the front end a little wiggle and saw that the through axle was a little loose, allowing the wheel to slide side-to-side a mm or two. I guess that the folks at Robert Axle Project were serious when they recommended that users check their TAs for proper torque before each ride.

I think that they fell out tonight on my ride. I've never put Loctite on chainring bolts before but maybe for these little ones I'll need some.

That's no good with the axle coming out. What's the torque spec for it?
