Sorry, nobody in their right mind gives away bikes like that. Unless it's a jilted spouse messing with some husband's stash. That's happened before......

As for the scam, it's simple. You agree to meet somwwhere, and a few of his largish friends are there with him.

Ad was ok until I started reading it and got to the part about the washers. And V frame shape? lol
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/bik...662784877.html
Great vintage looking bike. Current issues are very small and easy fixes including seat needing to be mounted and front tire will just need a few washers to be properly mounted. Will cost you less than $20 and I am including brand new seat that is seen in picture.
Beautiful vintage look V-frame shaped bike. Let me know if you have any questions. Send reasonable offers! Thanks for looking!

Bianchi Eros Madness
This person just does not understand the market:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/166241287762. The Eros was a nice bike but...
This other guy has a "real one!". He started selling his bike last year at $1,600! I have tried to tell him...
Sigh... ;-)

I believe that there may be some overinflation here.

That totally looks like a vengeful ex-wife saying, "I'm selling his toys and want to make it clear what he's giving up" kind of advertisement to me.
