It was a brief ride, only from near downtown but really kind of out of the way, out to the airport. 18 miles in 7 minutes. That same 18 miles takes an hour at least in Shanghai traffic. I expected everything to be a blur but you aren't close to anything. As fast as this is, you'd have thought though that the station would have come into the center, but maybe the high speed and high magnetic force dissuaded them, not that the Chinese government cares about what people think.
