Yes, spoke calculators are handy but with a thick wooden rim it’s a bit more complicated. I’ll go local, buying single spokes until it fits. What also complicates things is the nipple must be a minimum of 3/4” or 19mm which is todays maximum and not available most places (though few offer them). Also, spoke thread lengths 122 years ago were far more generous in length than today.
I had thought they were old stock only. They are needed also for building wood filled rims, which I have, but don't have enough nipples for all of them. The DT 16mm nipples are possible but hard to work with.

Do you have a source for current production nipples 19mm long?

Wheel building. This project is a rolling classroom study. Hope to have them finished and on the bike in the next 2 weeks. The black spokes look cool, even my wife says so.

I don't get it -- Santa brought you a concealed carry cert?
(Hmm, is Santa certified to carry? Y'never know....)
Okay, back on topic -- +10 on the black spokes, and the wheel build in general. Best way-back machine trip ever.

Ok, last pic of the project before a new thread on the reveal. Wheels turned out well, tomorrow will have tires.
