Not in a band, but I play my congas along to salsa recordings and I have some instructional videos for traditional Cuban music. It's fun and therapeutic at the same time.

Great video Chr0m0ly, your wife has an outstanding voice!
I picked up the trumpet again a few years back (after a 35 year break) and got a chair in a local 17-piece big band. Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Dorsey brothers - stuff like that. Not getting rich, but gosh it's fun! (I made low three figures last year as a professional musician.)
What with the pandemic, all of the gigs on our books have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. I can't for the life of me figure out how to post a video, but here's an action shot from last summer. I'm the third trumpet player from the left, the balding guy with the aviators.

Froggie Went A Courtin'
This was 1992. My childhood buddy, a professional commercial editor, came back to Iowa with a wind up camera that shot 30 seconds at a time. We recorded the sound with a string and two tin cans I believe. Nothing in this video was staged or set up. To this day I still can't believe it all happened... We really were at the Gesundheit Festival.

I ride daily as a commuter mostly, our drummer James rides a lot, but suffered a broken collar bone and has been hesitant to go after it, and Sweet Dave was a BMX guy who occasionally rides with us. The long way to say “sometimes” lol Cheers, thx for listening - John

I got into music first as a lyricist for a friend’s musical project, started a band in the mid 80s and gigged for years as a solo acoustic act. I still see myself primarily as a songwriter. After more than a decade of not performing I have relaunched my music career - because covid reduces us to one guitar, one voice, and one iPhone, how good is your song and can you make me feel it?

We have 4 albums of all original tunes but here's a SRV cover. Thankfully my son doesn't play it note for note and never plays the same solo twice...doubt he could if he wanted to.

Here's an original one. That's me on bass with the spotlight on me...they fixed it a couple songs later. It was nice while it lasted though.

This is 2007ish. I was the guy with the Fender Telecaster. Now I'm the guy with bikes. (And I find they're much safer, even in traffic.)

Could pass for an ironic vintage-look Mumford & Sons video these days.

I didn't know this existed until I found this a few months ago. Every year we do a show called "Spoof Fest;" the concept is you take a band, take their "schtick" and sorta try to make it sorta funny. The biggest thing to come of it is the "Beatallica" thing if you're familiar with that.
Back in 2011 some friends and I did Social Distortion- My friend Mat who was playing Mike Ness here passed away a few years after this, so when I did see it it was kinda emotional...

BTW- I'm playing the Les Paul Special on stage right.

I do have a Telecaster, but I modified it with an up/down toggle instead of the blade switch and sort of have it wired sorta like a Flying V. The closest thing visually is a 65 Epiphone Olympic, that had a series of unfortunate disasters... it's now living with a P-90 instead of the old MM pickup...
The red Les Paul is gone, and there's a Guild Starfire II bass now.
I'm realizing I need to take some new pix of the guitars... 2006 and 2007... whoa.
