The ratio of how much people care about weight/ how much weigh matters is near infinite.

Origin 8 could weigh -1000 grams and they would still be a waste of money.

theyre essentially the same thing

ive had my origin8 cranks on my leader for a year and a half and like to think i punish them pretty good, my frame flexes before the cranks

my only complaint is that the chainring is out of round

Except that they're not the same quality. I have four Andel cranksets on four different bikes, and the chainrings are perfectly round on all of them.

If you are choosing between those two, the weight doesn't matter at all.

For what it is worth I've had an Origin 8 crankset on my bike for 3 years, a few thousand miles, and they are functioning perfectly fine. I was lucky enough to get one with a good chainring.

Weird. I used some origin8s briefly and I felt and saw them flexing when trying to sprint...Don't think I am a strong rider either.

You were looking at your cranks while sprinting?

They felt a bit mushy when I stood on them so I looked down while mashing and saw the flexing.

Sorry that was probably me. I mash so hard that it sometimes flexes other people's cranks.

I find it funny that everything that Origin8 makes are contradictory to their brand name.
