$200 for Campy V brakes? Is this reasonable?

$200 for some rebranded Tektro mini-Vs? Ha. Nope.
For some reason I have a new 10-pound bag of these calipers, so I guess I can retire.
These are decent brakes, better than most of the alternative recommendations you've received so far (such as cantis: yuck), but these are not worth $200.
if you are running road levers, then full-length (100mm+) should not be considered. Huge mechanical advantage, but little modulation, and you have to run the pads close to the rims.
You need V-brakes made for road levers, such as the 80mm Tektro mini-Vs, or the even better TRP 8.4s (84mm). I've also used TRP 9s (90mm). Again, full-length Vs, like the otherwise excellent XTRs simply feature too much leverage. My highest recommendation: the 8.4s. Outstanding braking and high -quality hardware.
I ran all sorts of cantis during the early years of the mountain bike craze. Is there anything that canti brakes can do that Vs cannot do better? Nope. Nothing.

Vs are great brakes, and compared to many cantis, outperform them handily. Considering that the rise of cantis in throughout the '80s came about when single pivot side pull calipers (and the remains of center pulls) were in wide use--with their middling stopping power--it makes sense that Vs would be better (we'd hope so!). The rise of Vs, IIRC, came about as dual pivot side pull calipers were introduced more or less. Two (more or less) simultaneous, markedly-improved, braking systems replacing their predecessors. The best cantis I've come across and am currently using--thanks to the bike's canti post setup allowing it, if only just!--is Tektro's CR720 model. Great look, fully adjustable, tremendous power (I use road levers, same stopping power as top level short or standard reach dual pivots like Dura-Ace or R600), and best of all, zero squealing in dry, damp, or fully wet conditions.

I am thinking of changing the brakes on my Volpe and while CampI would be nice I don't want to break the bank either. Is this reasonable? $175 plus $30 shipping? Also why are people listing DP brakes as cantilever? Is this ignorance or is intentional to get views? https://www.ebay.com/itm/brakes-bike...o/202244476280
