Inner tube

I have a 28 x 2.125 or 700 x 45c tire. Will I be okay to run a 27.5 by 2.125 inner tube until I can get the proper inner tube?

The ID is about 1-1/2" less.
I wouldn't.

It will probably be fine. I've run 26" tubes in 29" tires in the past with no issues other than being a little more difficult to install.

You might have a slight issue with pinching when mounting as the tube will hug the rim tighter. Once installed, it should be ok if you are in a hurry to get going. Instead of going to the trouble to mount and then change later, why not just get the proper sized tubes now?

You have my permission to try it. Is that what you needed?

I need help.

Outside of my bike says 700x30mm tire.

My inner tube got a hole and I want to replace it. It says 700x28/38C

Yes, I measure the stem and it is 42mm.

Can I get this: 700c x 18-25c 42mm Stem Presta Valve

I'd recommend a bit wider tube. Something like a 28/32 or 28/35. I don't think I have ever seen a 28/38
