Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Voler is nice with great chamois and slimmer tops, although I'd like larger pockets in their thermal jerseys which people wear in the winter with wind shells, leg warmers, and gloves they might shed then stow along with the same pocket contents they ride with during warm weather.

My Castelli bibs fit great. Made in Portland, Or.

The previous USA National team kits were designed in Switzerland, made in China.

JL Velo is all SoCal local - great stuff.

Really. We've had this thread over parts.
Sometimes the fabric is made one place, cut in another, sewed in another. Final assembly gets the "made in..." stamp. Sometimes certain sizes are made in one place. I work in mfg and distribution software. It is amazing how things get split up and brought together. The ability to do this well is a competitive advantage.

Team kits (which is what mine is, I glombed onto my kid's team order) are often consolidated and finished in the same place. Sometimes the panels might be sewn onto other pieces. In this case it says USA, but I'm pretty sure it was Portland. Tracking numbers showed it shipped from there.

Most (all?) of the Twin Six apparel is made in the US, much of contracted out to Voler, iirc.

Search & State claims to be made in NYC.

@Doge is 100% correct. The garment could be sewn in Ohio but the fabric likely comes from China, zipper from Bangladesh, etc.

Oh yeah. I have bibs, jersey and vest from SAS - how'd I forget about them? Saw that the LBS has a previous year's design closeout jersey with for decent discount. I might have to pick it up if it's still there the next time I visit.

I have been wearing a pair of De Soto 400 mile shorts for about 12K miles now. I tried several other brands on the cheap. Finally got wise and bought a quality made in the USA product.

My current that came with USA Cycling membership says:
Engineered in Switzerland.
Made in Bulgaria.

Long ago, many were made in Switzerland.

If on a scale of 1-5 everything is a 4+
My order of importance
#1 - Cut / design
#2 - Fabric
#3 - Pad (if it matters)
#4 - Price
#5 - Hardware / features
#6 - Brand
#7 - Sewing
#8 - Where made
#9 - Color

Anything that falls below "good" messes with other priorities. 1-3 are requirements. The rest if the price is right I can live with.
I can assure you that #9 is way up on my wife's list. But normally we can find the others.

Borah Teamwear, made in Wisconsin. Pads are comfy but a little short in the front for my preference. I love their jerseys mainly because they aren’t see-thru.

I haven't tried Black Label, but I have a few pair of Caliber, which is one level down from Black Label, and they are my favorite bibs. Nice fit, really good pad.

I have and like Voler's Simplicity Symmerty bibs and jersey. I noticed that the bibs went up from $69 to $89. I'm sure that the black label are nice. But about $60 nicer, I don't know.
