Lazy and Selfish
Anyone who rides a bicycle is a friend, even if their style of riding is different from mine.
I am a bicycle advocate because I am lazy and selfish.
Lazy because I choose not to allocate my limited resources toward owning and operating an automobile
Selfish because I use the bicycle facilities for which I advocate.
I have lived car-free since January 3, 1978
I have rolled over 86,500 miles of self-contained bicycle touring.
Among other tours, I bicycle around the world in 1995-1996: 20 countries, 20 months, 20,000 miles $20,000 (not planned, that's just the way it shook out)
In 2018 I commuted and rode my bicycle for transportation 6,000 miles.
My lugged-steel bicycle has baskets, fenders, lights and reflectors, rear-view mirror, bell (It looks like it belongs to a homeless person!)

Ahh hello Mr Bicycle!
I want to thank you for all that you do for our community and am very happy about the new bike lanes we are getting. It seems that our new administration is allocating funds for this. Hopefully with the new Tech Center they will take into consideration your suggestions at the meeting!
Oh and welcome to Bike Forums, glad you are here!
