A cheap electric reciprocating saw comes with a selection of blades. Use the one for metal and go carefully, it's like using a hacksaw blade but a lot easier and without the finger damage or excessive swearing.

Around here we call reciprocating saws 'Captain Removal'.

"Quality" meaning "made with fresh-squeezed organic orange juice..."

Oh, were we talking about Ironmans? Sorry.

Yeah, of all the "nuclear" (destructive) options, I'd probably choose cutting off the top, then recip or hand jab saw down the middle. I think if I chose the recip, I would stop as I approach the target, and switch to a hand saw, to avoid starting into the tubing; that would not be a good day.

I've seen a reciprocating saw used to cut the post into vertical sections and then use a wrench to collapse the post. The only problem is if you go too far and cut the tube. Then you have wall art.

Of course I was talking about orange juice.

Speaking of tools, I got these for my birthday. The allen wrenches lock in place at 90 or 180 degrees. Hopefully I can stop losing the individual wrenches now. It’s heavy enough I can carry it as a weapon—a multitasker!

It locks!

I have learned to be very careful with putting my Allen wrenches back in their holder after every use or I will lose them!

Nice build—I love it.

Not an Ironman, but I guess you can stay.

Welcome to the club. Don’t worry about it not specifically being an Ironman—the guys are a bunch of enablers. I went from one Centurion to four in a span of three months.

Ironman Empire has active cranksets. As a result, we multiply quickly.

You have two of the four Ironman bike that used to be in my possession! (I’m totally apologizing for one of those.)

But since my two Shoguns are being lent out for the spring and summer, my bike rack is empty...save the Fuji. The Centurions don’t seem to ever end up in the rack.

Guess I need another Centurion. Gotta have something in rotation.

Yeah, that bike is serious business. Sorta like a time trial bike -- if you need the small chainring or a cog bigger than a 24, you ain't even in contention.

Oooooooh, hard to beat black and shiny! I think this is the first time I have ever thought that style of bar tape looked good. Smoking hot.

"...she had somehow joined a cult full of men riding bikes and enticing her to fill her garage, her basement, and her kitchen with bicycles. Thankfully, her husband was a patient man who noticed that she hadn't mentioned the four extra sets of car wheels for his car, ninety pounds of keyboard keycaps, and half-ton of nostalgia items he had "stashed" in the house. So he let her keep her bikes and didn't raise an eyebrow when she acquired more. But she knew there was a limit."

Find something cool and at a reasonable price in a 52-56cm in the NH/VT/MA area (or even Washington/Seattle, where my best friend lives), I'll probably go for it.

But she figured sooner or later he would tell her she had reached the limit. Not because he didn't love her or because her heaving bosum didn't make his heart quake with desire as he regarded her in her triathalon costume, but because they had run out of space in the garage..and the family room...and the dining room... and the bedroom.

At which point he told her, "Esmail, we need to move to a larger mansion, with more serving staff, because I cannot bear the thought of you lubricating your own chains"
Etc., etc.
