Tire flat spots on your collection

Do you worry about this? Do you inflate mounted tires that haven't seen pavement in a while? Inflate 'em all the way to riding pressure? Rotate? What else is a concern for sitting/standing bikes in winter?

When I have the air hose out checking the tires in my vehicles, I will put 50 pounds or so in any bike tires that are soft, just so they are not sitting flat. I don't make a habit of checking them though.

Aired periodically, but not fanatically
Wet bikes (fendered) stay in garage ready to go, even if weather/life keeps me off the bikes in winter's thro's.
The 'waiting for better weather' bikes get tinkered regularly in winter, about 50% of std riding pressure after they go flat.

You can potentially learn some things from multiple inflations in down months. Example = maybe a tube could benefit with a small shot of liquid latex, for an all-day hot summer ride.

As an aside - I have a pair of older Conti Giro tubulars that almost NEVER need anything more than a 15psi top-off. No wonder the rep for harshness.

I hang my bikes by the front wheels, and only air them up to ride, if they need it.

Yup! That's the way I do it also. To that add that, if a bike is put away, I always relieve some off the air pressure. Not sure why but that is what I do.

I do know that my butt gets a flat side if I sit on it too much. My bikes? Nahhh.
