Pannier Rack for 20" Disc Brake Fork
I'm trying to find a pannier rack for the 20" disc brake forks on my Bacchetta Bella ATT and/or my Lightfoot Cycles Roadrunner delta trike, both of which are fitted with Avid BB7 disc brakes.
So far my internet searches have turned up only racks for DF bikes with wheels larger than 20".
Hope somebody here can be helpful.
I've also posted this query on the Folding Bikes forum, since many of those bikes have 20" wheels.
Thanks,
Pamela

You want a device known as Mark's Rack. Search on that in this forum or others and there should be plenty of description about the ins and outs of mounting.

I've followed the link to Mark's Rack at Rivendell, and looked at all their front racks. The comments on the Rivendell website stated that this rack is *not* intended to be a pannier rack, but rather to support a basket/bag/crate. I submitted an e-mail to John at Rivendell asking about weight limits for the front Nitto racks. So far no Reply.
I've also sent queries to BikeFriday and to Greg Peek at Longbikes.
Tim at BikeFriday replied that their front rack was designed specifically for their front fork, but might be adaptable for recumbent forks.
Greg at Longbikes replied that he has been unhappy with the front pannier racks he has tried, has decided to design one for Longbikes use, and advised me to check back with him near year end.

I'd look for one of the Blackburn low rider knock offs at nashbar,
then have a new hoop modified, to not stick up so far, above the wheel
given it is made to fit on the eyelet of 700c wheels
the bottom of the bag will be 3.5" lower than if on the bigger wheel,
but it's not that much ,their U bolt mounting scheme is pretty good,
if you put it together right.
I have one of bike friday's bikes with their rack.. the top rear mounting point
is at the same height on the back of fork , as the V brake boss.. something clever
could be fabricated to use the V brake mounting bolt, and, say an L shaped bracket,
to give you a place to bolt that part down..
if you don't have a V brake boss set as well as the Disc mounts,
a P clamp and spacers will do .
