Hey Scrod,
Those new Heavy Pedal Tempo carbon clinchers on your site look awesome. Are the spokes bladed / oval ? Can't tell from the pics and it's not stated in the description.

The HP Zephyr is supposed to have the same geometry as the Cannondale Track from what I've read. Seems like a nice bike, I'm just not a fan of the paint job. I'm happy to see their name getting out there though, they seem like a cool company.

The Zephyr is this w/ the steel fork option and loud paint.
The Heavy Pedal crew are cool guys. We've been talking with them a bunch lately and it's good to find people/companies who are on the same page and understand how RG does things.

That Heavy Pedal Passage is such a good-looking frame.

The Passage is a very nice complete bike overall for the price. That frameset was made by Colossi as well. I'm hearing the next batch of them will have smooth welds.

Yeah, it's a bit hard to see on my iPad mini. It should be a lot clearer on the 20" monitor on my PC.

Hey Scrod,
I have a trade on the table with another guy and wanted your opinion on it. He is giving me a Kestrel 4000 frame from the 90s (white) for my Zipp 950 back wheel. My Zipp is in good shape (some minor damage by the air valve that I just taped over) but just sits in my garage. The frame is in very good shape. Any advice?

Scrod, is there a reason you went with the FSA energy wing pro on the Macho Man instead of the 3T ergonova pro like you have on the Thunderdome? Something to do with the brake levers? Thinking about buying some nice drop bars and I'm just curious.

Hey Scrod,
On your Bare Knuckle (fantastic bike, by the way), you have one of those nifty little VO Striker Bells. How did you mount it to your threadless headset?
Thanks,
Matthew

It doesn't matter what brand it is. VO also offers the same stem spacer mount option for it's striker bells. I just used the image from the RG site because it was handy.

Actually, the VO site says that their threadless spacer mount is not compatible with the Striker Bells, only the Temple Bells, which is why I was confused. I like the style of the Crane/Velo Striker more than the temple. I'll order a Crane.

The older VO headset-mounted bells were available in either the striker or temple style.
Temple bells are annoying IMO because they tend to ring themselves when you ride over bumps.

Whoah, I think I need that bell. In your opinion, which sounds the best?
