... why you wouldn't just put some new bar tape on a bike selling for a grand?
3 things... #3 No way it's selling for a grand- even with gold plated bar tape.

#2 Yep, that red & yellow look really sharp.

#1 Bike is overpriced by at least $250 maybe even $350

Decent, even better than decent frames, but price-wise they punch below their weight. I still have a couple of Batavus Professional frames that are a but too big for me.

For me too, but not by much. I CANNOT get another bike right now, too many projects to finish up. Besides, I basically have this bike in the form of a 1983 Miyata Ridge Runner. Too redundant.

This bike is part of a personal collection, and is very well preserved. This bike is mint in every way, so if you are looking for a classic ride, its not a lot to pay. I know this guy, and he's been a collector since college in the '70's. Personally, I would feel a lot more comfortable paying $750-$800 for this, but his asking price is fair for this region (IMHO).

Fair enough. (Though my Victory-equipped, Columbus SL Guerciotti went nowhere at $650)
That bike definitely has some Dutch "je ne sais quoi".Even without bar tape... Puts it waaaay above mine in wow factor(makes me wonder why they bothered with "champagne" as a color, the blue is not so bad.).

Must be all those NY/NJ/BOS CoVid-19 evacuees helping bump up the prices round Conway... It was a little early for Tuck's when I started self-isolating, in mid-March, but I thought about it...

re: Batavus in NH

I think the bike looks fantastic-- and if it's that well preserved, then the price is probably not terribly far off.

I'm not familiar with Batavus, but I have a Gazelle Champion Mondial which I love--- always interesting to see some less-common bikes out there. If it was a 58 I would be sorely tempted to make an offer....

Small Kid's ROAD BIKE - $100 (Watertown)

I got this small road bike for my kid but he didn't show interest. It's a simple road bike, very small. I trued the wheels, tuned the brakes and put new tires and tubes. It'll come w extra tubes too. Priced to sell.

Colnago Master Olympic Decor 63cm - $1750 (Cambridge)

Gorgeous Colnago Master Olympic Decor, handmade in Italy, in amazing condition with very few miles. Famous Columbus Gilco crimped tubes covered in famously loud early-90s Colnago paint scheme.
I purchased it in 2010 from the original owner. He had hardly ever ridden it. The bike has never been ridden in the rain and has never spent a night outside.
The bike rides beautifully. It is very direct and responsive, and the Columbus Gilco tubes provide a ride quality of legendary suppleness. It is a dream.
There are a few small scratches from storage; the cranks show typical scuffing; there are two very small and one slightly larger paint chip on the top tube (see photos).
I am not entirely sure of the year, but it appears to be circa 1994. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can inform me. The paint scheme is incredible; the chrome is to die for. The bike and Campagnolo groupset are simply in gorgeous condition. There are no dents, and it has never been in an accident.
Everything on the bike is original except the tires, chain, brake pads, and bar tape. This is a rare all-original example of one of Italy’s finest handmade steel bikes, as it was originally built up, and in an even more rare size. It is ready to go as a weekend-ride head-turner.
Full Campagnolo 8-speed groupset (again, I am not an expert and am unsure of exactly which Campy line; it is not Record, but one of the mid-level groups). Selle Italia saddle. 700c x 25mm Continental Grand Prix 4 season tires with plenty of miles come on the original Campagnolo wheelset. Pantographed 3TTT stem and bars in beautiful condition.
The bike had a full tuneup, with hubs repacked, in Spring 2019. My LBS has confirmed that the frame is in great shape.
The seat tube measures 63cm center to center, and the top tube is 59cm center to center.

Vintage Chrome Schwinn Voyageur - $325

Beautiful custom-built Voyageur with components not found on standard model - Dura Ace crank and brakes, top of the line SunTour derailleurs, bar controls, 3TTT bars and stem, and Weinmann concave clincher rims. Will need some new bar tape and brake lever covers. Large 25" frame so this is great for a taller rider. Really a unique-looking bike and will make for a great city rider -

With such extremes between big/big and small/small, I suspect you'd have to switch derailleurs to handle both. I suspect the seller could be faulted for the big/big photo, but practically speaking there's no need to use it. The chain is probably fine except at that extreme.

Seattle / Tacoma - Black Miyata 912 - $100

Hard to argue with $100, but not my size. Talked via phone with the friendly seller. Bike has scratches but no dents. 34.5" standover with approx 57cm top tube (his measurements). He is selling a number of interesting taller bikes as indicated in the ad, not limited to a Guerciotti Corsa ($250), Schwinn Voyageur II ($150) and Paramount frameset ($500)...

Miyata 912 - $100
Adding all the bikes from the CL post

Several tall vintage bikes for sale OBO. Will delete bikes that are sold from ad. Please come see the bikes before making an offer. If you want multiple bikes I will work with you but please don't be insulting. I am moving so all must go. Look at pictures and ask questions. It should be assumed that all bikes will need a tune up or a little work for optimum riding experience. Also have many parts you can pick through if you buy a bike.

1) 1987 Cilo Sport 105 $150 59 cm complete bike 700c.
2) 1980 Miyata 912 $100 62cm project with all components.
3) 1986 Guerciotti Corsa $250 60cm complete bike - very nice aluminum frame with all Campagnolo parts. Nice vintage Brooks Professional saddle.
4) 1974 Schwinn Voyageur II $150 62cm rare project bike only 1 step down from Paramount. Nice leather saddle.
5) 1988 Centurion Dave Scott Ironman Expert 63cm $200 complete bike all original super nice. 700c needs rear tube.
6) 1980s Bianchi Sport SS $200 62cm project bike just needs cabling. Nice new Brooks saddle
7) 1984 Motobecane Grand Touring $200 62cm complete bike, nice condition
8) 1973 Motobecane Grand Touring $200 62cm complete bike very nice condition. Very nice original Ideal leather saddle
9) 1970 Raleigh Grand Prix $100 63cm project rare one year only head badge.
10) 1972 Schwinn Continental $100 64cm very nice old bike all original rebuilt super tall needs brake cables finished
11) 1975 Motobecane Le Champion $700 62cm complete bike near top of the line rare Silver Lilac color. rims rebuilt and all Campagnolo parts in stellar condition. Nice leather saddle.
12) 1975 Schwinn Paramount $500 59cm project. in bare steel so you can see the Reynolds 531 stamping on the tubes. Chrome lugs are excellent. Comes with non original groupset with many Campy parts. Nice vintage Brooks saddle.
13) 2000s era Stevenson 61cm custom frame project $700 This is a one off bike built by Stevenson Customs in Olympia/Tumwater. Tall frame in excellent condition hung with brand new Ultegra groupset, needs finishing. was over $2000 new without the groupset

Nice Ross road frame. Don't know which model (294S?) but they didn't make many like this. You're basically getting just the frameset but it has real tubing and dropouts/fork tips.

Some wild give-aways in there That Alan built Guerciotti would have me tearing my hair out, if I had not gotten almost as good a deal on a red Vitus frame just yesterday!!! (thanks to the gracious and efficient facilitation of rocks in head. Thanks, Jake.) And luckily also spent that money yesterday, or I'd be looking for a facilitator for that just waiting for paint Paramount. Read the fine print! It comes with great chrome AND some Campy and other parts, including a Brooks saddle for $500. Holy Hannah! I have no Schwinn. I have never owned a Schwinn. I was sort of weaseled out of a Paramount last summer. Man, that baby is calling to me!!! Even if I've sworn off anything over 58 ever again....Again
