I thought that Fitness was just an average training load? If that's the case, having a too-low FTP would make it easier to have a high Fitness, but I don't see how having a 100+ Fitness would necessarily be indicative of too low of an FTP. Two hour rides at 60-70% every day would handily get that done, no?
I may be phrasing this poorly.

Yes, running it fixed. Not enough meat on the lockring threads, and I think just a poorly designed hub. I posted about it over in C&V.
I guess you were running a fixed gear? Seems like maybe the lock ring wasn't tight enough or didn't have enough thread "bite". When I had a freewheel hub on an old mtb I used to keep an extra axle at home because I bent them so often. The last time it broke the chainstay.

Went out for a ride, just over an hour in while descending a 9% grade the thunder started and rains came. 
New carbon rime have been christened by the downpour. 😇 Continued a modified route to avoid a decent with two 12% sections, didn't feel like taking that chance today.

Have you looked into truly folding bikes? Like Bike Friday? They tend to look odd but their road bikes are fully functional road bikes. I believe they fold up smaller than coupled bikes and no cable couplers to deal with. When I got my coupled bike, I did it after extensively researching BikeFriday, and went with the couplers as the least expensive option.

well Scottish cafe/bakery. They do breakfasts and lunches. the full fry up was good. It contained black pudding, haggis, bacon, some sort of meat patty, eggs, some sort of griddle scone and tomatoes. washed down with coffee.

I have looked at them. They aren’t that much cheaper, and I would prefer the coupled.
