Yeah a big downgrade, but at $199.00 it gets me back on the track and on the street while I keep hunting for a nice frame. Once I find a nicer frame in my size I can still CL or Ebay the KiloTT for 75.00 or so. I'm just stoked to be back on a bike.

haven't seen anybody mention the pros. are they going to be restocked? and if so, when?
oh and by the way, I know it's too late but wouldn't the raw frame look better with the pro's black hardware? I like the idea but a raw frame with polished components seems contradictory. black hardware would reinforce that understated look.

have you seen the new volume cutter? It has a clear coated raw finish with decals OVER the clear. Also i really think this is how a raw steel frame should look. For some reason the kilo on the first page looks like gray primer and not raw.
If it looks like this: https://www.volumebikes.com/img/cutte...-raw-whole.jpg i cant wait to buy it. if it looks like gray primer it will be a bummer

I came home for spring break and noticed that in my sister's bathroom (I usually dare not use it for the unholy mess she leaves), the faucet in the tub has turned a sort of tye-dye of patina colors, and then thought 'hey, I'm betting thats from the uber-hard water that comes out of our faucets." through a series of associative thoughts that take too long to go over, I remembered this thread and the discussion of patinas by torching, but here's another, maybe less complicated (albeit more toxic) option: https://www.surfinchemical.com/
btw, if someone already suggested this, sorry, I only peaked at the thread periodically.

Those patinas are nice looking. Are these raw frames coming with any sort of clear coating on them? If not, applying some of this stuff could look really cool.

I figure they could do the patinas then clearcoat, the gloss coat would pop the colors. the cool part is, the process would result in each frame technically being a one-off coating.
