Stollenwerk
I cannot seem to find much information on this make, other than it appears to be the German equivalent of Schwinn. Does anyone here know anything about them?
I picked this one up late last year to use as a donor bike for the Criterium that I got from another member a few months prior. Now that I am getting ready to strip the group off the frame, I am having a bit of guilt. It is just a bit too small at 57 c-t. If it were a bit taller, I'd gladly ride it as is, after sorting out the seized RD.

Right, did a quick look and came up with a few pics but not a whole lot of narrative. Interesting looking. What decals are on it?
Did you get a story when you bought it ?

Company came out of Aachen Germany and has been around at least from the late 40's.
BF has nothing, stumps the site when you punch in the name.

The guy I bought it from (CR list) said he bought it from the original owner. The original owner got it when he was in the service. I think I was told that this was in germany. The oo is the one who painted it, hence the condition.
Only the headset identifies the bike as a stollenwerk.

If I had my eyes open a little more I might have noticed this brand, maybe.
I did notice the headset. Does peg it as a stollenwerk.
So what are your plans for the frame?

Really neat survivor. I vote for keeping it intact. I'd love to see a parts list breakdown as best you can tell from the brandings. Any marks on the bars? Interesting shallow and long shape with a nice curve.

The handlebar said M kint on the left and s maes on the right. I don't recall seeing one before and assume the bar is german.

The brakes were weinmann 730. Crank arms are gnutti with huret rings. FD is simplex. Rd and shifter is huret. Hubs are gnutti, I think. Stem is titan. Unknown seatpost with ecco 105 saddle.

I have decided to strip the components and donate them to 2 other projects. This will receive the parts off the other bikes, but will be a period correct frankenbike.

I'll bet it will be a great frankenbike; it appears to be a quality frame. I have a pretty neat old bike from Argentina that I haven't figured out what to do with and part of me wants to turn it into a frankenbike as well.
