Ghost Bike, Mountain Ave Upland Ca. ???

Took a little drive up to the mountains today toward Baldy. I saw a ghost bike on the side of the road right at the top of Mountain Ave. Anybody know the situation?

There was a ghost bike a few years ago on Mills and Baseline for an older gentleman. And another near the bottom of Baldy Rd also a few years back. Hit by a lady while descending Baldy Rd. Sad!

Does anybody know the situation on this newer ghost bike? :-(

Info is available here, sorry I think you'll have to cut and paste.

I would guess he was rapidly coming down the curved section at the top of Mountain Ave and the driver pulled into the intersection. It is a two-way stop with the car eastbound on 25th having to stop.

There's also a relatively new ghost bike on the east side of Mills, just south of the 210 freeway. That cyclist was hit intentionally by a southbound driver who crossed over to the northbound bike lane.

Try to stay safe out there!

I agree, another rider hit from behind and killed on PCH at Seal Beach Blvd a few days ago. It just doesn't stop. :-(
