The swollen Willamette River
We've had some seriously spring rain here in the Willamette Valley. Got out on the bike today to go take a look at the Willamette River. Probably the most flooding here since 1996.

The Willamette was pretty high down here. Alton Baker Park was pretty flooded a couple of years ago. I was going to check it out, but missed it a few days ago.
I had to make a couple of detours on the bike path. One underpass was flooded, and a low spot in the bike path.
I hit one place where a bunch of debris had washed up onto the path, and caught me by surprise. Good thing I had the Tricross.
This is the Beltline bridge, taken... last Tuesday. There usually is a parking lot below the bike path.

Yeah, I hear my aunt in Lebanon has been unhappy with all the flooding. I don't have Facebook or anything, but I hear all my family down there is underwater.
There's no love lost though. Any form of government assistance infringes on personal liberties in their eyes. I hope they turn down the assistance & fend for themselves. Integrity, & living according to ones beliefs is important.
Probably won't happen though.

It’s high here in Oregon City but no where near threatening the sea walls. More of a curiosity at Willamette Falls than anything else. Similar to a few years ago.

Holy crap!
Thanks for posting those.
Keep them backed up. In ten years most of the pics from the flood will have been lost as people change devices and whatnot.
