What do we know about this stand, or something similar?

What I know is I would never clamp the top tube like that.

I don't like that quick release clamp. It can be angled to clamp on the seat post, but the quick release needs to go.

We know that we wouldnt be interested in a repair stand that is held together with glorified plastic friction fittings. Doesnt seem sturdy/stable enough. And a 40# weight capacity is...underwhelming. Even if your bikes are under that, it means not much leverage can be placed on the stand when the bike is being held.

Neither am I, but I have a super fly custom ti road bike with DA 9000. And if I were in the market for a repair stand I would not go the cheapo route for the reasons noted above. Also, Park makes less expensive models. How about checking them out for yourself?

Almost identical to the Aldi stand other than color. I have an Aldi, like it a lot. They had then on end of season for $18....should have bought a second one.
I did a search for aldi stand and this popped up, it also looks pretty much the same. I know nothing about this company or website.

I love the "Euro" style stands. Just feels like a better way to hold the bike than one clamp on a seat post.

meh...to each their own, I prefer these to any other style, but that's just a personal preference. We have 6 bikes in our house, and they all fit on the stand, even ones with exterior cables running under the BB shell.

Like many commented, I would not trust it to use it for leverage, but it gets the job done for a home mechanic like me.

The Aldi stand has 6 legs. At least the current versions.

That jigger to hold the front wheel is lost on me; I just tilt the bike forward so the head tube is a tad past vertical.
