$275 "Reasonable"?
1989 KHS Montana Summit
Quad butted lugged steel frame, low serial number, original paint in excellent condition.
So far as I know, it has never been crashed. (at least not in the 17 or so years I've had it.)
No rust inside or out.
DiaComp high profile (front) and SACHS 5000 low profile (rear) cantilever brakes with new pads, cables, straddle cables, and cable housings front and rear.
High End Suntour (XC?) Full Finger brake levers.
Upgraded to 7 speed in the rear (34-14 freewheel)
28*/38*/42 BioPace Crank Rings
*Shimano Exage Mountain rings
Shimano Exage Mountain crank set.
SRAM X9 rear derailleur.
Shimano Exage Mountain front derailleur.
SRAM X3 Trigger Shifters
New 26x2.2 Giant Slicks, front and rear.
New "Thorn Proof" tubes with 8 ounces of Slime innum, front and rear.
Rear Rack
Good saddle
Suntour pedals
I was in the process of setting it up for long distance self contained touring.
I'm selling because I have difficulty mounting it, (I lost some range of motion in my hips) and I had a stroke a few months ago, so I don't know if I can ride it anymore.
Is $275(USD) a fair asking price?
Thank you for your help/advice.

Yes and no. Long ago I suggested this model to a friend to purchase, she liked it but balked at the price of a "tune up" a number of years later, (should have asked me) traded it in on a 5 speed cruiser to match her boyfriend's.
Mistake.
Problem is that old mtb's just do not get a lot of $ interest.

Just mid level MTB with mixed so-so none matching stuff, No it's not worth it. Right now the mid school mid level MTB market is way down Nice full DX or LX higher end frame bikes can be had for under $200 if you shop around.
