Primato Fork Question

I am looking at a DeRosa Primato which was originally sold out of Germany and it has an unusual fork and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of fork. The fork dropouts are DeRosa. The frame is Columbus EL-OS and the fork has a unicrown structure with a lugged sleeve. Anyone ever seen one of these before on a Primato (I've seen one piece unicrown forks on later model Primatos) and, more importantly, has anyone ever ridden one of these before and how does it perform? Thanks for any info!

It looks like a "Unicrown style" fork. Some people like it and some don't. This one looks OK as it still has vestiges of s fork crown on it, unlike others that just look like a continuous "U" bent tube with no interruption to it as it crosses over the steerer tube. These forks became common in the early 90's on many brand bikes. I don't think they ride any different from ost forks with fork crown "shoulders" on them. More of a stylistic thing and maybe a cost savings thing where the fork leg tube is just bent to a "U".
