Beautiful paint on the Makino. I very much enjoy it!

Also, jdgesus, that surly with the bag setup is fantastic! It's such a clean setup and looks like a great ride.

Finally got the brake cabling installed through the Cane Creeks, which allowed me to finally tape the Dedas. What a fitting location for my first pic. The requisite bike in bathroom pic (it's a bit blurry):

The next one is over the 110 fwy in L.A. on 7th street. You L.A. guys/girls probably know where this is. Lotta traffic here since it's downtown L.A. and like 4 freeways meet here. I always wanted a good pic to capture the bike contrasted with the sluggish traffic which stretches literally as far as the eye can see. Couldn't quite capture that here.

^^^ Bike looks nice but IMO you've got the brake levers set too far up on the bars.

Cute bike. I've always liked the way the '09 Rush Hour looked.

Yeah thanks guys, I knew I would hear stuff about the hoods positioning. But it's comfortable for me, and I like the way it looks. I don't really like hoods going horizontal.

Have you tried reaching the brake levers when riding on the drops ?

Understood. But again, it's comfortable for me. When riding on the hoods I never once say to myself, "I gotta adjust the position of these"

Point taken, and a really good point, but I'm only in the drops when climbing (usually) and I typically only use the brake when descending steep hills where I have to stop at the bottom. That and "oh ****" situations where again, I'm not in the drops.

Powder coat is perfectly safe on aluminum, I've had handlebars powder coated in the past, with no issue.

Paint on frame would have to be stripped first.

I think if you painted that FTP black and then added like this really weird red stripe going around from the top tube to the down tube, that would look pretty great! Oh and don't forget lots of Fuji.
