so you have a tapered steerer tube in a non tapered headtube? that could be the reason you have that weird gap at the bottom.
you need a normal, non-tapered steerer tube fork.
haha ok nevermind looks like that horse has been beaten dead already

for a beater/commuter i dig it.
aesthetically im not super into spoke cards, but at least the "gas sucks" one ties into the black of the components, the yellow one seems like an outlier
oh and the saddle seems very far forward. looks just a bit awkward to me...if you need to move up i would suggest a zero-setback seatpost with a more central saddle position.
but nit picking aside i really like it for what it is.

im sure your right. However it looks like there is room for a larger bearing race to rest on the fork and larger tapering lower headtube race to make up the gap. The fork doesnt need to penetrate the headtube. You can see in the pic there is a bearing race nesseled on a small chamfer on the fork that expands to a larger diameter. That larger diameter on the fork is what is exposed. Again shocked there is no simple remedy for this
lol

That frame takes a 26.0 seatpost, I was lucky enough to find that one I have and the piece of **** is seized in the frame. And the frame is a bit too small for me, one I'll get around buying a new frame, I never really cared about it, since I had the All-City which was my main ride. But now I'll have to look into a new frame soon.
maybe try pushing the saddle back a touch on the rails... that would give you some length top tube wise...
