Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

$20,000 Crocodile skin 'fixie' - yup, some Frenchies have done it.

$20,000 Crocodile Skin Fixie? Just Cuz

When one stops to think, “what has never been done before?” what does one answer? Swathe a French fixed-gear in reclaimed, black crocodile skins? Naturally! But whatever for? Just because one can. How much is this thing gonna cost? If you have to ask, it’s not for you.

Perhaps not, there are crocodile farms and they're harvested for their meat. They're not going to just throw away their hide am I right?

I didn't know that they were farmed/ranched for their meat. If so, then you are correct.

Should prolly wrap that stem in foam tube for when that front wheel explodes and you're launched forward.

My best pal's kid's bike, cause he wanted one that was 'like daddy's' and this was the best he could do. I think it's kind of awesome, but I couldn't think of anywhere else to post it. Little dude actually gets down in the drops and goes, with the brake levers/tape hoods being a recent addition when he noticed daddy's bike had em and his didn't. I've ridden it too, though it didn't fit right. Internetted with permission.
